Not good… just Bad and Ugly with my 4 Girls!!!

Why are kids so cruel! Some say “they are naive” I know some that’s far from the case! Sure they need to be taught how to spare someone the ugly truth when they are still learning. But what about those brazen ones? The mean girls or the mean girls in training. Are their ‘oops’ or ‘I didn’t mean anything by that’ genuine? Or are they saying it an “I got you sucker” type of callous way?

Just in case you were wondering if this venting was connected to a personal hurt…

WONDER NO MORE!

My very own children whom I nursed worried over and devoted my life to can make me feel like I’m on the family version of Punked!
Their sobering yet rude words can cut to the quick!

Dear God,

that prayer I prayed for four girls… (because I know how they are and can handle it)

You could’ve said a big fat NO!   As in…No, you can’t handle them! or  No, you wont know how they are!

Maybe you did or this is one of your jokes you like to play on the demanding ones.

This is what I’ve got in my house!

Little Miss My Way or the highway
Sweet as can be as long as things go her way.  Be careful though… a ‘Frank Sinatra’ Ballad is the tune of her heart.  She’s gonna see that the highway isn’t all that great if she doesn’t change!

Little Miss Moody grumpy pants
This one has not gone too the far left on ‘purposes’, but she seems to go the distance at it often.  To make matters worse, her heart carries the weight of her issues that is too big for her little body.

Little Miss Meany Bo Beany
This Gurl here! We have a term “nice nasty”, this describes her at times. She has a word when first spoken you would think was kind, only later to realize her cuteness has made you blind!

And little Miss My world
Because I’m stuck on M’s I’ll go with my world but she’s more like beauty and the beast rolled in one.  She can be sweet, sassy and future mean girl nasty!  Don’t let her get to using scripture on you to get her way. SMH
All of these descriptions depict all of my girls, (coughing to hide the words~ and me too.)

So what do I do?

My best, and commit the rest! I am learning that a long walk and a venting blog post clears the mind. But even more life changing is the Hope of my Salvation that has called me to love those little sinners as Christ has faithfully loved me. He has covered my rough patches like the balm of Gilead He is! And I am applying more than aquaphor on dem baby girls of mine!  I will continue to teach character to my girls as I share the “do’s and don’t” of it with you. Hopefully by showing the crazy at my house you will get a nice little sense of “normal” in your own.

Thanks for stopping by!

Take Care,

  1. Great post! I particularly liked the new phrase “nice nasty.” I’ll be adding that one to my vocabulary. Remember, God would not give you more than you can bare and that’s why you have those four amazing girls!
