Let’s hear it for the boy’s!!! Oh, how I appreciate having the covering of my hubby! It is so stinkin’ helpful! He can clear a room full of kids after I have tried r-e-p-e-a-t-e-d-l-y in my ‘sweet voice’ saying; “girls/boys, in a little bit your gonna have to go home” ( I know my friends are LOL at me right now) but truth be told women in 0ur (my) old age we (I’m) getting gullible! My girls A2 and A3 (A1 said I had to be specific!) had friends over for the weekend. Who am I kidding, my kids always have friends over, around and near! If you leave it up to me I will never make anyone go home ever!
In high school I vaguely remember letting every teenager in the neighborhood live with us true story.Just as my hubs has a way of protecting and keeping me I found out one summer night that this trait is just as inherit in my boys. I was having some “girl power” problems a few nights ago, and by that I mean power struggles! My daughters where playing instead of cleaning and Hubby was off running 10miles, he wasn’t expected back til late. They(the girls) were not listening to me. They feel as if Dad’s away they can play. To a certain extent they are telling the truth, but I was getting to that breaking point, with the girls knowingly disobeying. I was going to blow my last nerve on them. When Gary is around I can mild manner my way through life, but this was an eye opener. I am so dependent on my hubs holding it down that my kids have gotten it TWISTED!Meanwhile…
In stepped the oldest boy, he saw me bleaching and cleaning and called the other two boys to help me too!
Lets Hear it For My Boys!
I looked at my 7 yr old as he dried dishes and said; “I understand now what it means in the scriptures when Ruth was called better than 7 sons. You are precious and valuable to me!” Elijah replied “I didn’t know a boy could be better than a girl, I will work my butt until I die!” O_0 (Oh Elijah!)
I assured him that working “his butt til he dies” wasn’t completely necessary. But yes on this day my 3 boys out-shined their 2 sisters (no pressure girls). I was happy to have my “guys” along side me making sure their momma didn’t do the work alone or work too hard. My hubby has showed them right! I’m blessed I have some pretty strong guys around taking some of the weight off me. Thanks Johnson Men Momma Loves you!
