The Smolder…Luke

It’s all about the quietest and loudest person in my home LUKEY!

He makes a lot of noise usually beat-boxing or crying.

Those who know him know he has personality for days. Luke is born the same day as Alexus.

Lex and Luke personalities are very similar and yet completely different.  Luke has a lot of allergies.  You name it he CAN’T eat it.  And when I am being a good gluten free mommy he is a

much, happier camper.

Recently we discovered that Luke has a thing for the ladies.  I’m  always able to get a “you look pretty mommy!” compliment out of him without coaxing. But now ANYONE maybe next to get one outta him!  Don’t get him started with giving you what he calls (from Tangled)

On New Years while at IHOP,  Luke decides that he is going to give our waitress “the smolder”.  In his words she deserved it because she was “hot”! LOL

She wasn’t by worldly standards what “HOT” would be. She was in a loose fitting uniform, hardworking, proficient and on the late shift. I guess you would say she was the Proverbs 31 version of what “hot” would be. Nothing was revealing about her outfit. Her hair in two braids down her back. She was bi-lingual too. Unexpectedly, out of nowhere she busted into a Spanish dialogue with another gentleman and she was not Latina.

That told me a lot about my boy…  I would like to think he saw how we were praising her great service and efficiency and in his little mind, saw that as, the thing of beauty about her. Oh! if all men thought like that! Right single ladies!  Even greater if all women could see that. What you do in everyday life, those mundane task that maybe taken for granted anywhere else will be prized by the One who sees all and one day, Lord willing (as your busy for Him while waiting) will bring ‘one’ to your side who will give you that “smolder” you have been waiting for!

And while you wait, I will let you borrow a “smolder” look from my little man!
