Voice Boks (vB) is the social site for me!

While doing my twitter checks one day, I came across and interview by Roz Walker with Lexie.  This article was amazing, (kudos to Roz and Lexie) so amazing that I remember excerpts of it to this day. As well as certain points that Lexie made. You see Lexie is a blogger.  I call her a bloggers blessing!  The words she expressed about the disappointment of not having your creative work (yes this is work) noticed was the feelings of my heart. She’s overflowing with ”don’t be discouraged, I know that can be disappointing” and other empathetic motivations that keep us bloggers going.

Lexie started a blog during her pregnancy and through the birth of her son only to be disappointed by the lack of response. From those disappointments another “child” was born  VoiceBoks.(she truly is like a momma to us we have aunts there too *wink*)

Voice Boks is a place where bloggers like myself, Roz and Lexie go to get the encouragement, training and support we need to make what we do doable.  At first glance you may think this is some type of phony way to get people to “notice” your work.  But you know what, I beg to differ.  My husband affectionately (side eye) calls it my GLEE Club.

And to be honest it’s more like a family.  I belong to several different sites and this is the one I want to return too daily. The people I have ”virtually” met through vB are like minded mommas with a voice to be heard!

Do we all have 7 kids stay at home, home school and the list goes on. Nope.  But we all blog.  And have a voice that we want heard.  And if it wasn’t for vB I think I would have silenced mine a long time ago.It has profited me so much, being involved with vB. I had a time where I was operating my website by myself.  My “help” in my endeavor had left me and I was feeling like this wont grow past what I knew in that moment. I sent out a S.O.B (Save Our Blogging) to Lexie and I must have not been alone because very shortly there after Makobi Scribe blogging extraordinaire gave a class on vB walking us through a lot of what I didn’t know how to do. 

To add to my help, BecauseImtheMommy was sending me a review of my site pickin on me and poking me (inside with us she is hilarious, a gal with a sense of humor) to polish my writing more.  I have found sites that I crave for their post like Jesus and my Orange Juice, Mydishwasherspossesed, Nuggets of Truth, Christiansupermom, Totallyfullofit and the first one I saw Spilledmilkshake there are so many more but I have to stop here.(Cause I know you all are checking out their sites on the hyper links and coming back)

I love vB so much I invited my friend LaShaun of ShootieGirl, I even invite people when I come across their site on my own. Like Courtney, she was faithfully writing her heart out over at  mereponderizations for an audience of 1.(I know you guys think I just mean Jesus, Him too but she had one follower on her blog back then).

It has been some time now since I signed up with voiceboks and let me tell you my online presence has blossomed. My friend base (not just fan) has multiplied too. I can’t say enough good things about the precious people at vB or the thoughtful Lexie.
