Kicked in the stomach by Kick Starter!

So everyone should know by know the company “Kick Starter” they were on the Rock Center show that is like the new or old NightLine show ( I think it’s the same host). The show in itself isn’t the issue its the business.  So they are the one who boast that you can get projects sponsored by total strangers in order to “kick start” your efforts off the ground.(good luck)

Now I don’t know where I went wrong but I have been turned down by them TWICE! What gives??? They have sent me a letter which you can read below and made me question my very value of what I am doing here!(it seems super generic) I mean the first time they IGNORED me in September, but now I don’t know what the problem is. (maybe I am not edgy enough?)  Per, the letter it’s not the “right fit”. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? I will continue to pursue my endeavor and I will work on finding the “right fit” for me. Though I feel like you all just told me to KICK ROCKS!

Take Care,

Kickstarter Staff commented on your Kickstarter submission:Hey there,Thank you for taking the time to share your idea. Unfortunately, this isn’t the right fit for Kickstarter. We receive many project proposals daily and review them all with great care and appreciation. We see a wide variety of inspiring ideas, and while we value each one’s uniqueness and creativity, Kickstarter is not the right platform for all of them. We wish you the best of luck as you continue to pursue your endeavor.

Best,
Callan

  1. Rejection is a difficult thing to deal with. But I think you may have hit the nail in the head. Sometimes, most times we need those rejections in order to get the best. Often in my life something may not have been possible if it wasn’t for something else having gone wrong.

Hang in there… I know you will get the right fit for you!!

    Blessings and Happy New Year!!!

  2. Thank you so much Carla! It is hard not to feel slighted and say forget this! This is the first reject letter I have posted definitely not the first I have gotten! I am going to press on and keep growing and changing with each ‘no’. :)
